The vegetable and herb garden at Dell Children’s Medical Center will soon be named the Charlie Grant Garden.

The naming gift from The Charles Grant Charitable Foundation will also allow for the expansion of the Healthy Hospital Program.

“This special naming at Dell Children’s Medical Center is a fitting tribute to Charlie, and the innovative Healthy Hospital Program would surely make him proud,” said Trustee Lezli Harrell.  “We will continue to honor Charlie by providing funding to organizations and programs that embrace his ‘WHOLE-istic approach to life.””

“We are grateful for this generous gift that allows for exciting plans for the Charlie Grant Garden to honor Charlie in a beautiful and meaningful way,” said Senior Director of Development Kristi Katz.

Garden Expansion

Enhancements will transform the garden into an instructional, kid-friendly, outdoor learning lab. In addition, the Healthy Hospital Program led by visionary founder Dr. Stephen Pont will grow its WHOLE-istic approach to care, expand its Nutrition & Cooking Classes for patients and families, and increase the frequency of the popular Farmer’s Market held in the hospital cafeteria.

Naming Opportunity for Charlie's Friends

Donors have the opportunity to be listed on a beautiful permanent plaque in the Charlie Grant Garden. Learn more about this opportunity and support this endeavor that aligns perfectly with Charlie's wishes for the work of his foundation.
